How these figures are made

  • Notices are collected from TED (the EU's Tenders Electronic Daily), BOAMP (France), BASE (Portugal), TenderNed (Netherlands), simap.ch (Switzerland) and Find a Tender (United Kingdom), four times a day.
  • Duplicates are merged: a notice published both nationally and in TED counts once.
  • Each notice is scored from 0 to 100 for how much real design work it contains; these figures count those scoring 40 or more.
  • Project types and floor areas are read from each notice's own wording, in its language.
  • “Open” means the submission deadline has not passed (or the notice gives none).
