CPV: Dienstleistungen von Architekturbüros bei Freianlagen Mit dem Leitbild der „Grünen Entdeckerstadt Bendorf“ verfolgt die Stadt das Ziel, die Innenstadt klimaangepasst, grüner, lebenswerter und stärker gemeinschaftlich erlebbar zu machen. Klimaschutz, Stadtgrün, Innovation, Begegnung und nachhaltige Mobilität sollen dabei als zentrale Bausteine zusammengeführt werden. Vor diesem Hintergrund soll der zentral gelegene, an den Stadtpark angrenzende Quartiersplatz funktional, gestalterisch und klimatisch aufgewertet werden. Ziel ist die Entwicklung eines lebendigen Ortes mit hoher Aufenthaltsqualität, der als verbindendes Entrée zwischen Innenstadt und Park wirkt. Die Planung soll bestehende städtebauliche und funktionale Defizite aufgreifen, Versiegelung reduzieren, Begrünung stärken, Begegnung ermöglichen und Vorsorge gegen Hitze, Starkregen und Trockenheit leisten. Zugleich soll der Quartiersplatz als Standort zukunftsfähiger Mobilität gedacht werden. Eine Mobilitätsstation am Stadtpark soll den Umstieg zwischen Fahrrad und ÖPNV erleichtern und das Plangebiet in übergeordnete Mobilitäts- und Stadtentwicklungsprojekte einbinden. Im Rahmen des Wettbewerbs werden innovative Konzepte gesucht, die historische Identität, klimagerechte Transformation, Aufenthaltsqualität und nachhaltige Mobilität zu einem zukunftsfähigen Stadtbaustein verbinden.
